Talk Relationships, the NSPCC’s secondary education service, supports schools to confidently deliver inclusive sex and relationships education. They want all young people to understand healthy behaviours in relationships and recognise their right to be safe, heard, and respected.
Talk Relationships ensures secondary school-aged young people can learn about sex and relationships in a safe environment that recognises, responds to, and prevents abuse. It includes e-learning courses to support educators to feel confident in delivering sex and relationships education and a series of lesson plans created in partnership with experts from the PSHE Association. Including specialist lesson plans for young people with SEND/ASN.
Below, the lesson plans for 11 and 12 year-olds cover how to deal with changes to friendships, what healthy relationships look like and how to respond to hurtful behaviour. The lesson plans for 12 to 14 year-olds cover topics including what healthy relationships look like, how to respond to sexualised media, sexual harassment and harmful sexual behaviour.
